Mesa 21, located at 1414 N. Orange Ave in Ivanhoe Village, is planning a soft-opening for March 29th and a formal opening by Monday, April 3. Brian Schlosser, a Corporate Designer with Mesa 21, described the restaurant as casual, upscale Mexican food. “This is real Mexican food straight from Mexico City, not Tex-Mex,” emphasized Schlosser. He said the prices on the menu would be in line with other restaurants in the area on Orange Ave.
The atmosphere will evolve as the day progresses. The restaurant, which includes a fabulous patio overlooking Lake Ivanhoe, will be family friendly through dinner hour. As evening turns to night live music will be featured on the patio. Handcrafted cocktails and agave-based drinks are their specialties. And as the warmer weather creeps into Central Florida, a high-tech fan and misting system installed in the ceiling of the outdoor patio will cool the area by up to 20 degrees.
