The organization, which was previously associated with Lake Highland, recently moved its practices and games to Edgewater High School. This will be its first season in College Park.
“Because we have such a close relationship with the EHS football coaching staff we feel we have a unique opportunity to teach the youth who will eventually attend Edgewater High School the same values of hard work, respect, and unity the high school coaches are teaching,” said Harkley Thornton, vice president of Edgewater Pop Warner.
According to the organization’s mission statement, this Pop Warner program “is being built on family values and everyone that joins is a family member from the time they start until they graduate from high school.”
Edgewater Pop Warner is looking for boys and girls to join the football and cheerleading training programs. Students ages 5–14 can join the football program, and ages 5–15 can join cheerleading.
The season begins and registration ends August 1. For registration and more information, visit the Edgewater Pop Warner website.
