In the state of Florida, only 273 attorneys are board-certified in marital and family law. College Park resident Lauren M. Ilvento, Esq., just joined their ranks.
“I am so excited to have passed the exam and become board certified,” Ilvento said. “My parents always taught me to aim high. I only wish my father were still alive to also share this with me.”
The Florida Bar’s highest level of evaluation of the competency and experience of attorneys is certification in one of the 26 areas of law the Supreme Court of Florida has approved for certification.
After graduating from The George Washington University Law Center in 1995, Ilvento began practicing law in Miami, Florida. She then moved to Brussels, Belgium, to practice international corporate law. She was a member of the Brussels Bar “B-List” for foreign attorneys.
Ilvento opened her own law firm in Orlando in 2009. She lives in College Park with her son, Tim, and near her mother, Barbara Fischler.
