What I am about to share with you is one of the most embarrassing stories of my life. I trust you, so let’s keep this between us, OK? (There is, in fact, a point at the end.) Picture it: Naples, NY, 1990. I was a typical ’90s tween who knew the whole “Fresh Prince” theme […]
More than 100 Nativity scenes from around the world will be on display Sunday, December 24, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Church on the Drive. Open to the public, the free, family-focused Cookies & Cocoa event offers the chance to admire a wide variety of Nativities ranging from traditional to whimsical, which are owned by longtime church members David and Carolyn Detmer. Free refreshments will be available.
In addition to Cookies & Cocoa, Church on the Drive will hold candlelight services the same evening, at 5:00 and again at 11:00. The services will include Christmas music favorites. These times of celebration of the birth of Christ will conclude with a candle lighting ceremony that includes all attendees.
