ORLANDO POLICE DEPARTMENT CRIME ALERT

TYPE OF CRIME: Vehicle Burglaries in the College Park area

INFORMATION: There have been several vehicles burglaries reported in the College Park area. The primary days are Tuesday-Wednesday. The primary times are varied. The items that are being targeted include any and all valuables. To assure that you or your neighbors are not the next victims, please adhere to the following:

- Be alert to your surroundings
- Secure all vehicle doors and windows
- Use reliable anti-theft devices (i.e. car alarm, The “Club”, etc.)
- Remove valuables from inside the vehicle (wallets, cell phones, CD’s, identification, stereo faceplates, etc.)
- Activate the car alarm, if your vehicle has one
- Report any suspicious activity or person(s)
- Check the area where you will be walking for suspicious persons or cars
- If you witness a vehicle burglary in progress, do not risk physical harm: call the police immediately

BUSINESS WATCH - Business owners are alerted about suspicious persons and potential shoplifters. It also provides training and information for employees that can help prevent crime and possible injury.
