If you are reading this article you have probably read enough to know that the real estate market has slowed down in the past year. While this is true there has been so much written about it that some people have gotten the wrong impression.

I have spoken with homeowners who need to sell their home but believe that is not possible in today's market. That simply is not the case, while it probably is not a good market to sell a home if you simply want to do so, if you genuinely need to sell then go right ahead, homes are selling everyday. In July alone the Mid Florida Regional Multiple Listing Service facilitated the sell of 1354 homes, there is absolutely no reason that yours could not have been one of those. In fact Re/Max 200 Realty, the office I work with, handled thirty seven of those transactions. According to Trendgraphix that makes Re/Max 200 Realty the number one office in the Orlando area, not just for July but for the year as well. We are only slightly off of our pace from the super hot market of 2005, where we also led.

My point here is not to brag on my employer – although that might be a good thing to do – but to make the point that homes are still selling and that there are specific techniques that have been developed that allows that to happen. It is not magic it is skill and dedication to the profession of real estate.
